KLIPSCH WIRE-FREE EARPHONE
Wireless buds for deep bass and clear high
The earphones sound great, look cool and come with an impressive charging case.
Klipsch officially joins the wire-free earphone craze with the new T5 true wireless. At 199$ they are among the premium options in the cable-free realm and come with good battery life and cool Zippo-style charging case. The retro branding on the earpiece themselves may not be for everyone, but the audio is great, with rich, full surrounding bass depth and crisp, sculpted highs.
perhaps the most distinctive design feature there is this flip-top, metallic charging case. It’s much wider than a Zippo lighter, but still quite reminiscent of one. The earpieces themselves or matte black with the secure in-canal fit.
Klipsch includes three pair of silicone ear tips in small, medium and large sizes.
The outer panels of each earpiece act as multifunction button pressing the left ear’s button once gets you your mobile device’s voice assistant and pressing it when a call is in progress mutes the four-mic array. The right ear controls playback with a single tap, as well as call management.
Mid-level volume on the earphones feel quieter than many of its competitors, and the maximum volume level is louder than anyone should be listening to for a prolonged period. The Earphones secure-feeling fit delivers impressive bass depth at moderate volume levels on tracks with intense sub-base content.
At top volume levels, the bass doesn’t distort. Tracks with less deep bass in the mix give a better sense of the general sound signature.
Orchestral tracks sound excellent through the T5 true wireless. There’s a wonderful balance of lower register richness and higher register brightness.
